Process
Here at Maine Design + Build we look to establish a design intent early on in the project, this allows the process to become a journey to a solution.

It is then through clear communication with our clients and sub-contractors that we understand their goals as we begin sculpting the elements of a space.
We believe that construction informs the physical while theory guides perception. This characteristic integrates feasibility and constructability into our process throughout each stage of design.
Design and Documentation Services
Consists of further Design Development drawings and Construction Documents. Depending on the project, this may include:
Architectural Drawings:

Architectural Cover Sheet (Project Data, Maps, Notes, etc.)

Architectural Site Plans and Analysis

Architectural Floor Plan (Dimensioned with notes, wall types, key notes, etc.)

Door Types, Door & Hardware Schedules, Door and Window Details, etc.

Roof Plan and Details
-
Building/Wall Sections

Building Elevations
-
Interior Elevations & Casement Schedules

Millwork Details
-
Reflected Ceiling Plan and Details

Equipment Plan and Notes

Project Manual/Specifications Book

Civil Engineering Drawings (by Civil Engineer under separate contract);

Topographic and Tree Survey, plus Geotechnical Testing (Soils) will need to be performed prior to commencement of their work.

Foundation Plan with Details and Notes

Framing Plans including Details, Roofing and Special Conditions

MEP Engineering Drawings:

Mechanical Plan (HVAC with Equipment Schedules and Details)

Electrical Plans (Power, Lighting, Fixture Schedules, and Details)

Plumbing Plans (Wastewater, Venting, Domestic Water, Air, Vacuum and Medical Gases); also, Plumbing Riser Diagrams with Plumbing Notes and Schedules.
